experiments with clothing. ignore the poor lighting, skin is now a texture and needs decent painting, but the head needs additional geometry for eye folds. The downside to adding this geometry at the late stage is that i'm going to lose a fair amount of sculpting (unless there is a way to re-add the normal map to an object that differs in underlying topology)
Haven't spent a lot of time on this lately. It might be worthwhile to simply cut losses and add the geometry to the basemesh and resculpt, having gained experience such things should go much faster.
Lovely stuff! It's great to see you take it this far Dealga.
ReplyDeleteEventually it will start to look better, in the mean-time all sculpt data was wiped in favour of adding extra control geometry for the hands, arms and face. Tough decision to revert but it means no more messing around with stuff that will never look good down the line :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom! I commented on this but the maintenance of blogspot must have swallowed it.
ReplyDeleteSince that render was made the sculpting data was ditched in favour of adding more geometry in necessary areas (hands, arms, around the eyes) so i can go back in and do the face some justice (at least, that's the idea) Also learning new tricks about rendering skin!
